To back this up – Physiologist Joel Stager, director of the Human Performance laboratory at Indiana University confirmed this in his research published in the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism.
It’s been known that chocolate milk serves a high concentration of water to replenish lost fluids. But its also loaded with extra goodness to enhance your recovery rate post-workout. The ratio of carbs to protein found in chocolate milk make it an ideal recovery drink, hitting that ‘sweet spot’ instead of just plain milk.
Ideally if your working out like an absolute beast in the gym then hey why not get some chocolate milk down your neck!. Now I don’t mean a professional, just someone who gets involved in some rigorous training. So remember what I say here – rigourous so don’t be drinking it if you plan to lose weight and spend your time walking on the treadmill.
