Cinema river Cruise – £29.00 pp
The other night in London I heard about the launch of Movies on the River – London’s first ever open-air cinema to cruise the Thames.
This interesting addition to London’s popular outdoor cinema spot is a summer partnership between City Cruises and Timeout. So get moving if you want to book a seat as it’s now open five nights a week until the middle of July.
The opening night saw a jam packed force pile on board the City Alpha boat. The boat offers food and drink as it gets dark, and once everyone has settled down, the classic Steven Spielberg’s 1975 ‘Jaws’ begins.
The Alpha sailed under Tower Bridge and out east past the Isle of Dogs, Greenwich and The Dome. Later it travels under Tower Bridge as the movie comes to a close as you sit amongst the stars. You cannot miss it guys so jump on board! For me the best part of it was the hustle and bustle before the movie starts and everyone is trying to get settled in on the open top boat, its definitely an interesting experience to try
So just remember you will be able to jump onboard this movie boat over the next couple of weeks with screen films such as ‘Love Actually’ (Thursday June 22), ‘When Harry Met Sally’ (Saturday June 24) and ‘Top Gun’ (Wednesday June 28). Jaws will be shown again on Saturday the 1st July if you want to take the risk. Lets think about it for a second – watching Jaws on a boat cruising on the Thames!! Its just funny to me
Next time, we’re gonna need a bigger boat.
