Lets Get Into This
If you’re one of the two-thirds of people who don’t drink enough water, listen up!
Water is the quintessential part of who we are. We’re actually made mostly of water — two thirds to be exact. Not only that, it has influence over every single one of our body’s functions.
Heres a breakdown:
1. If you want to lose weight, drink water.
Studies have shown that those who drink water before a meal are ultimately more likely to lose weight. Water can help keep you full, causing you to eat less than you normally would. Not to mention, a lot of times when people get hunger pangs, they are usually just dehydrated. Downing some water can stop you making rash snack choices. It’s also shown to boost your metabolism, so if your super lazy check this list to help
2. Prevent cancer.
It’s been suggested that increased fluid intake can prevent bladder cancer. One theory states that urinating more frequently can help flush the body and prevent the build up of bladder carcinogens. Colon and breast cancer have also been shown to be prevented with proper hydration.
3. You can ditch the ibuprofen if you drink enough water.
Dehydration is also a trigger for headaches in many individuals. Often times, people who suffer from a headache can completely relieve themselves after drinking water. Around two cups and wait 30 to 60 minutes should do the trick. (I hope)
You know I could go on and on all day about what water can do for you, but the bottom line is, make sure you’re getting enough so that you can reap its benefits every single day.
How much do I recommend? At the very least, 3 litres per day. I typically drink about 4 a day! That’s right – an express route straight to the toilet!!
