BLOGGING – Keeping it Real

Don’t waste it

Time:- Each day you are granted 86400 seconds to do what ever like with it. If you are spending even one of these seconds thinking about how you cannot achieve your goals, and manifest your wildest dreams to a reality, that time is wasted. There are no refunds on wasted time its our most valuable commodity. We cannot earn it, it cannot be given, we cannot inherit it so don’t waste it!

Do not assume you are different from extremely successful people! They are granted exactly the same number of seconds each day as you. However what they choose to do with these valuable moments is important. These people are proactive in chasing their dreams, motivated to be better with each day and they are always searching for constant progression.

The Truth

You know since I started my blog in April 2017, it has been met with ridicule, surprise, confusion and feelings of it’s a waste of time. “Its unlike you Hal to do something like that”, are the common phrases I am faced with. I guess it does and did affect me at the beginning, and I thought hard about the comments I was getting – none of them being positive.

But I wanted to write a blog because I always had the initial DESIRE to do it. I wanted to build a community and meet new creative people or who travel – these are some of the reasons why I needed to take the opportunity to be part of that positive environment.

blogging advice - keeping real

Did quitting so early in the game come across my mind?? No! But did it make me think hard about whether I was making the right choices – Yes!

To me I faced a challenge head on, against people who know me well including family and I have come through that obstacle. How? By understanding that I have 1 life to live and I better take control, instead of living with regret 30 years from now!

Take control, eradicate negative influences or people. Be positive and set goals. Do what you love to do and be happy. Baby steps are fine, as long as they are forward baby steps!

The Lifestyle Rebel means – i am a REBEL who goes against the Lifestyle other people EXPECT/WANT me to live.        Are you???

As always #livebetter.

Sometimes it’s best not to engage with people close to us about what we’re doing. They tend to be the most negative.

I definitely agree that you should remove negative forces from your life. Life is too short to have drama and negativity dragging you down!

So glad to see that you keep blogging even if some people don’t support you! Everyone deserves to do what they love without being criticized. I personally didn’t really share with everyone I know that I’ve started a blog, because they are usually the people who judge me the most and I wanted to do it without those opinions. Keep going and good luck! When you become a famous and successful blogger, they will all regret their words, haha.

Amen, I had the same kind of negativity when I first started out, even from people I loved. The truth is people are quick to dismiss what they don’t understand so keep on with your blog because you are doing a grand job!

I thought it was just me(!) When I started my blog, a lot of people said the same thing. That I should be doing other things with my time, they couldn’t understand why I would take photos every afternoon. Thought that if I was spending so much time, I should be getting paid. Finally I started to say (out loud with a smile) .. “I love you and I’m not open to input on this subject” I’ve often wondered if blogging is a hobby that many aren’t familiar with (like golf or woodworking) and so it seems odd and they simply don’t know where to put it in their minds. Either way, like you, it’s been than the right choice for me and I’m so thankful to have it in my life. x

You always learn by experimenting and I feel the people closest to you are the ones that will rarely be your target audience any way so why waste time on them.

I love your positive thinking. People will always feel like they have a say on our choices, but as long as we’re living authentic to ourselves then thats all that matters.

I started blogging last year. I did it for few months and left it because of the negative comments received by my closed ones. But then I realized that it is my dream and not their’s. so to hell with negativity around. I picked up again and i am happy so far.

I am so glad you stuck it out! If people are not happy about you doing something 9/10 it’s because the are unhappy and jealous.
